The Sea of Cortez is the most biologically diverse body of water on the planet. This includes the widest variety of whales and dolphins found on earth, including many migratory species such as the blue whale, plus nearly 900 species of fish. There are several great ways to explore the waters of the Sea of Cortez.
Snorkel & Stand Up Paddleboard
We have complimentary snorkel gear and paddleboards for use in the bay in front of the hotel.
Pangas (fishing and sightseeing)
If you like fishing, sightseeing by water, lounging on a totally secluded beach, snorkeling with sea lions or any combination thereof, we can get you set up with the best local boat captains. This is a great morning activity before the wind blows in, or for any non-windy days. We'll set it up for you, and you'll get picked up and dropped off on the beach in front of the hotel.
Swim and snorkel with the largest fish in the world! Whale Sharks migrate through the Sea of Cortez October through April, These gentle giants often congregate to feed in the sheltered and nutrient-rich waters of the Bay of La Paz.
